I know many of you are having problems when trying to add a mini squeeze page. As you can see above, I placed mine into the main page, but most of you are trying to put it in the sidebar and are having problems.

I just took my code and added it to the sidebar and had the same problem. The squeeze page is all over the place. I think I have found what is causing the problem and also how to solve it :)

The problem is being caused by the Aweber form, and in particular the submit button. The reason the squeeze page is being pushed over the edge is due to the length of the button. Changing the width of the table makes no difference. The code in the Aweber from will insert the button as you created it.

One way round this is to shorten the text in the button. If you just use ’submit’ it works fine. If you want to add more text you will have to keep testing the form to see the effect.

Another possible solution (though I have not tried this yet) is to change the Aweber code. Instead of using the javascript, selcect the raw html file. Copy and paste that code into notepad and set a size value for the submit button. If you do this then you can set the size to fit the text in the button.

Hopefully that all makes sense.

I have had many emails on this subject so I will try and put a video together. It’s not something I have done before so bear with me, it’s outside my comfort zone, but I will fail forward into it! :)
