How To Get Your Squeeze Page Into Your Sidebar
I know many of you are having problems when trying to add a mini squeeze page. As you can see above, I placed mine into the main page, but most of you are trying to put it in the sidebar and are having problems.
I just took my code and added it to the sidebar and had the same problem. The squeeze page is all over the place. I think I have found what is causing the problem and also how to solve it
The problem is being caused by the Aweber form, and in particular the submit button. The reason the squeeze page is being pushed over the edge is due to the length of the button. Changing the width of the table makes no difference. The code in the Aweber from will insert the button as you created it.
One way round this is to shorten the text in the button. If you just use ’submit’ it works fine. If you want to add more text you will have to keep testing the form to see the effect.
Another possible solution (though I have not tried this yet) is to change the Aweber code. Instead of using the javascript, selcect the raw html file. Copy and paste that code into notepad and set a size value for the submit button. If you do this then you can set the size to fit the text in the button.
Hopefully that all makes sense.
I have had many emails on this subject so I will try and put a video together. It’s not something I have done before so bear with me, it’s outside my comfort zone, but I will fail forward into it! :)

Hi Mark,
I think you could be right about the button causing the brake out of the sidebar, like you say, using shorter text, or modifying the raw html code would solve it.
When using the raw html code you can even use an image as a button as demonstrated on my profit pulling platform.

feel free to view and copy the source code to see how it is done.
Martin
Hi Martin,
Thanks for that, I usually use my own custom payment button but have never thought of applying that to the aweber.
Nice idea
All the best
Mark
Hi Mark
Yeah your idea is sound, it;s what I did last night to get it to fit when viewing firefox but I didn’t realise that I.Explorer also had issues. Will update accordingly.
Thanks for your email btw!!!
All the best and have a great weekend!
Nigel
Hey Nigel,
Glad it worked, have a good one too!
Cheers
Mark
Hi Mark,
I think my problem is not the submit button because it works well if I open my page with firefox, the lenght of the button isn’t too long.
I think the problem is the html codes. When I open the html document with my internet browser, it looks good, but after i paste the codes to my blog, then it comes out differently. The text size become different.
I wonder if it has something to do with my blog theme?
Will
Hi Will
It maybe your theme because when I have tried it’s all been ok and for Nigel too.
I will have another think and get back to you
Mark
Hi Mark,
Great post–another way to do it is to do a pop-up or pop-over opt-in on your webpage. Aweber has some great stuff to help out.
I’m also one of Alex’s students–isn’t his stuff great?
You might enjoy some of the free traffic videos that I have on my blog.
Let me know if I can do anything to help!

Hi Mark,
Not bad how you got that done, mate! I didn’t want to bother to go through all the hassle trying to fit a mini squeeze page into my blog though. I’ve solved it this way: http://K-MarketingOnline.com.
BTW, anyone who had some success already? I got over 50 subscribers to my list in a couple of hours today! Ok, I admit, it wasn’t free traffic, but I wanted to test drive the platform with real visitors immediately after going live. You can read the whole story on my blog!
Keep up the good work!
Best regards

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your help about the api key. But when you said ’sign up for the wordpress’ isn’t that I ve done that when I first want to setup by worpress blog?
I try to log in, using the same user name and password that I used to get into my wordpress dashboard but surprisingly it says ‘invalid username’. Does it mean that there is a need for another signing up?
*wish that I cant talk directly with you about this. *sigh

hyzat - you can email me anytime you like. I will come over to you blog.
Will - on my way to check it out
Mark
Hi Mark,
Yesterday you gave me thiese instructions regarding confirm page:
———————–
You don’t have to create a new page. You can customize the default page that is used in Aweber.
What you need to do is remove the download link for the ebook from the download page. Put the url for the ebook as the redirect page after the subscriber verifies.
That way when they click on the link in the verification email they will be taken to the ebook.
—————————
I have not set it up yet. Does this mean that visitor will be taken to the ebook once they have confirmed the link in the mail without
being shown the offer to buy set of videos? Sorry I am not clear. Thanks for your help?

Just a quick reply to your question.
I am going to post details of what you will need to do in aweber for the confirmation page.
I have a confirmation page uploaded as you know, need to do a few ‘tweaks’ to it but then I will make it available to those that want it.
I will let you know when its all done.

Hi, Mark
Man, This is my first comment at your blog. I must say you got a wonderful blog set up right here. Great post and images. I have just set up my blogroll and RSS feed.
I am trying to learn how to put a mini squeeze page on my blog and the image was not on the side bar but instead at the bottom of the page. How can i copy to my sidebar? Can you me step by step how to shorten the text? What will happen to the original index.html if i edit the contents? I just don’t want to mess up?
By the way, please drop ove to my blog and comment if you have some time. I will add you to my blogroll today.
Keep in touch, Bro.
